Doreen Virtue's new spiritual path
Shew I don't know where to start with this. Yesterday I got wind of Doreen Virtue changing her spiritual path. I am not going to bash her and be judgmental but am feeling a huge loss of a spiritual teacher that I adored and admired. Let me begin by telling you that I have been an avid follower of Doreen for many years, I own a huge amount of her decks as well as books. I also attended the first ever live Certified Angel Card Reader course with people from all over the world in 2012. I have been certified as a medium as well as an Assertiveness Life Coach. I have been subscribed to her Youtube channel as well to receive her guided angel messages. So since yesterday I have discovered some videos on youtube from other fans describing their thoughts to her decision and I've decided to give mine.
This is the first video I saw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e8QYAWgJMo
At first I was naturally angry because in summary she mentions denouncing tarot and mediumship as well as mentioning that if you worship pagan statues of idols, it will take you down a dark path.
I was born a Christian (Anglican, in fact). I don't attend church but I believe in God and the Angels and I embrace spirituality in all its forms.
I don't agree with Doreen but when she said "don't worship other God's. To me, there is only one God but I feel there are different energies of that one God, whether it be the Goddess, Universe or Source. I know that people are upset on her views but its an opinion of one person, and no way does it impeach on my own views. Doreen's truth is very different to mine and so be it.
I do however feel a true loss of her gifts, knowledge and expertise and as much as Doreen can talk about her new found Christianity, its just not a path that I will follow and I feel very sad about this but it is not for me to judge, I and others have to accept that people change direction. As she is a public figure that people followed, her decision has ultimately affected everyone in their own unique ways whom they looked up to as a role model, and a person to aspire too.
But on a positive note, I have to say this, Doreen is still focused on love and the love God has for all of us. Who are we all to judge the path she has chosen? Yes we feel a sense of sorrow and loss but aren't we all just idolizing another human being as we do a pop singer, an author or a TV star. Lets put this into perspective, that TV star is just like us, a homo sapien, that has his own free will, to do what they please. We all live our lives and make the right choices for us.
I have decided to continue using the Angel Tarot and the other decks she produced. I continually also refer to the large amount of books Doreen wrote as they are a wonderful spiritual resource for many and to me as well. At the end of the day they are just tools to aid us in enhancing our own gifts and I will continue believing in the pagan idols, the goddesses, the unicorns and the fairies as much as I did before.
I was happy to hear that Doreen was removing royalties on some of her decks and that the profits were being given to the Hay House charity.

In ending, I leave you with this beautiful card that states "Align your actions so that they match your values and inner knowingness of what's right for you".
I wish Doreen luck and love in her newfound path. With Love & Light,
